[Edit] A new affiliate, Moonflame Designs and link exchange, Solitude, were added but no new graphics, layout, or anything. Yeah, I know.

Hoo- wait, no new layout!? No, no new layout. Long story short, I've had idea after idea before I finally picked one, ran with it, and then lost it. So no layout. There will be one with the next update though, promise. However, I will tell you that it will feature either Aiko from Aria, Lucia from Venus Versus Virus, or my own artwork. As for now, it's update time!

Graphics
Sorry. nothing but icons this time. Icons were added from the following animanga series, the first two, or games, the other two:

Aria: 4 with 2 variatons of the same icon
Kuroshitsuji: 1 really cheap icon that doesn't do this completely and utterly awesome series justice
Persona 3: 5 with every single last one being a variation of the first
Touhou: 1 that harps on a joke well known in the Touhou community, check the last bullet in that section

A small update, I know, but I was preoccupied with things like MMORPGs. The next update will be much larger, on the list so far are 3 layouts, only 1 is actually new though, 1 PNG, and an icon batch that will number at least 40 icons total, not counting any variations.

Other News
Since the last update, SD has hit the 5k mark in terms of hits, hooray! I would have an award or gift of sorts but there's one in the last update. Speaking of awards, SD has received several during the haitus, those will be put up with the next update.

Just to let you know right now, I'm adopting an bi-weekly update schedule, with some variation for certain events. I can't make it with a weekly one, even if it calls for making just a few icons.

I know SD is a little lacking in content that doesn't involve icons. Ok, very lacking in content that doesn't involve icons. I really don't know what else to add so I'd like to hear your suggestions~ If you have any, please post them in the tagboard, ok?

I've joined a few contests, all of which are in the voting stages right now, so I'd appreciate it if you'd spare some time to vote for me, in the contest hosted here particularly.

SD News
I may have to put off the end date for this 'haitus' by 2 weeks. -shot-
There are a few of art contests I want enter and more than a few art requests I need to get done. May is test month so I want to concentrate on that [OMG, I have an AP test next week. It's only one though, not 3 or more like some have so no big deal really.] I'm not out of school until June 10 really so I want to use the rest of June to catch up on my artsy stuff. The 'haitus' end date is now early-mid July.

Okay, so I didn't quite make the mark but I'm only off by two days. So, new layout, whatcha think? I have to admit, the CSS does not match at all. I've already spent forever trying to find the right colors so I'll probably change the header around to match the CSS. Onto the updates!

SD's got 1 new affiliate and 1 new link exchange! Please say hi to Kyo and Taro of Natsuberry and Aizel of Frozen SUn Designs! Other site related updatse include an addition of a participation award to the gifts and awards page, the addition of a few links to the credits page, a new page, the past layout page, and a few new link buttons, one of them graciously made for SD by Ai as a prize for my winning first place in her previous contest. As a note, a link to all past updates is now on the past layouts page as well. There's probably more but I've forgotten by now.

Graphic-wise, I've managed to sit down and make a total of 14 D.Gray-Man icons in a row. Go me eevn though a lot of them are just variations of the same icon~ I did plan to have SD's previous layout up for download but I'm planning to recode it so that'll have to wait~

Anyway, about the ...? in the title, I've decided to put Shanghai.Doll on an open haitus... kinda. From this date until some time in June, SD will be placed at the bottom of my priorities list. Why? I really, really want to concentrate on drawing more. I want to take art commissions in the summer to start earning my keep, I like books and especially artbooks a lot -drool-. I want to work on my skills some more now because when summer comes, I won't. I won't be gone completely though. I'll still check up on the tagboard, I check my mail at least twice a day and I'll still update, but it won't be as often. You'll probably 1 to 3 updates during this timespan, 1 for SD's 1st birthday and 1 or 2 for some other time. So it's not really an open haitus, you just won't see me much. This is just to let everyone know I'm still walkign and breathing. As I've implied before, feel free to contact me, I'll definately see it.

So, time to go~ If there are any problems anywhere, don't hesitate to let me know. I'll be back on May 6... bearing gifts!
