Terms of Service
The content on this page will change without warning, please be sure to read through periodically. This page is seperated
into several sections, a general rules section which is followed by graphic specific rules. The page concludes with a small
guide of crediting at blogging communities and a few notes. Be warned, this page is somewhat lengthy.

General Rules
1. Redistributing ANYTHING is a big and complete NO.
2. Claiming anything here as yours is another nice, big NO.
3. Editing any nonvisitor intended graphic, say the layout header, is not allowed. CHances are that'll be available for
visitor use eventually so sit it out if you like one of Shanghai Doll's layouts that badly.
4. Taking the current layout's entire source code to edit is not allowed but taking small, read 15 or less lines, of coding is
acceptable.
5. Direct linking is unacceptable
6. Feel free to use anything as a source of inspiration provided that what you plan to make will not look exactly or
alarmingly close to the original. Credit would be nice too.
7. Use of any of my graphics or coding by a commercial site is, under all circumstances, not allowed. I make no profit so you
shouldn't either.
Icons
1. Credit is not required in most cases unless you use more than 5 icons collectively.
2. Use of these icons to make your own graphics is absolutely forbidden. You may add your name if you like but that's the
cut off on editing.
3. This may seem picky but DO NOT use ANY of these icons at any community
site that, for one reason or another, does not allow you to state the source of the icon in a constantly visible place.
Layouts
1. I must be credited but you may move the credit line anywhere you like. It may be placed on every page, the main page, a
credits page, or any other page as long as the placement makes sense. Placing the credits in a news entry that is soon
engulfed by many other news entries does not count.
2. Provided that I am still credited and there are no drastic changes that render the layout completely unrecognizable from
the original, you may edit anything from the source code to the CSS to the layout image.
3. Using the layout image to make your own graphics is not allowed unless you use it with the original or slightly modified
layout and then provided that you plan to use the layout for at least a week. Using the graphic once you have taken the
layout down is permitted providing that you followed the one week rule.
PNGs
1. Do not cut off part of the PNG, put it on your site, and claim it as yours. I spend a very long time on each PNG, be
considerate.
2. If you use the PNG for something small, say a button or one icon, crediting is not necessary. If you use the PNG to make
5 small graphics or more, a banner or more, a layout or more, and/or a wallpaper or more, crediting is required, no
exceptions.
Other Graphics
1. When using blends to make graphics, credit is required. You may not, however, use the blend to make graphics that you plan
to distribute to the masses.
2. Credit is required if you plan to use a signature at any sort of site. You may edit the signature to create a matching icon
but nothing more.
3. Wallpapers are for personal use only. If you are unsure of whether you can use/edit a wallpaper for something or not, don't
do it.
Small Community Crediting Guide
Livejournal: Place <lj user=mono_berry> in the icon comments. A link to to Shanghai Doll is fine too.
Similar Blogging Communities: Mention Shanghai Doll in the keywords, link if possible
Forums: Visibly link Shanghai Doll in your signature.
Notes
1. Crediting no matter what with icons would be much apreciated.
2. Dropping a comment on the tagboard mentioning and linking to the location where you are using the icons is nice, I want
to see my work in use!
